She also creates fascinating and bespoke items such as gorgeous carvings out of avocado stones and in the summer she spends days creating beautiful henna pieces in St Ives.

Rebecca uses the idea of the way that stories change when being told and re-told again through generations and places this idea in to her own work. Thus she interprets old folk stories and myths, using them as a starting point to influence her own work. These stories then take on a life of their own in her illustrations, turning into beautifully unique creations.

“In turn I tell my own stories, weaving the fantastical through the mundane and clichéd. The work I make reflects my fascination with the immeasurable capacity for storytelling as a tool to entertain, teach, record, comfort and deceive.”
